Βασιλική Κατσέτου- Κούλαξ , απεβίωσε στις 11 Δεκεμβρίου 2011 στην πόλη Γουέμπστερ της Μασαχουσέτης των ΗΠΑ , μετά από πάλη δυόμισι χρόνων με την επάρατο.

Η Βασιλική, σύζυγος του Κώστα για 52 χρόνια, ηταν κόρη του Γιάννη και της Αγγελικής ( Στριλάκου) και αδελφή του Χρήστου στο Southport , CT , της Μαρίας (Θωμάκου ) στην Βαλτιμόρη ,της Πίτσας ( Χαραλαμπίδη ) στο Cranston , RI και του Νίκου στο Tavares της Φλώριδας. Γεννήθηκε στις Κροκεές Λακωνίας στις 31 Ιανουαρίου 1934 και μετανάστεψε στην Αμερική σε ηλικία 12 ετών.

 

Bessie Vasiliki (Katsetos) Koulax, 77, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 11, 2011, following a courageous 2 1/2 year battle with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

She was born on January 31, 1934, in Krokees, Greece, daughter of the late John and Angeliki (Strelakos) Katsetos. She immigrated to the United States when she was 12 years old and lived and worked in Providence, Rhode Island, until she married in 1959, moving to Webster in 1961.

She was the beloved wife of Constantine Gus Koulax of nearly 53 years and the beloved mother of 4 daughters and 2 sons-in-law: Alexandra Koulax, Angela Koulax, Charlotte Neslusan and husband Neal, and Denise Gritzner and husband Robert. She also leaves behind her 4 wonderful grandchildren: Matthew Martin, Olivia Vasiliki, and John Constantine Neslusan and Beck Seraphim Gritzner; 4 siblings: Christos Katsetos of Southport, CT, Maria Thomakos of Timonium, MD, Pauline Haralambides of Cranston, RI, and Niko Katsetos of Tavares, FL, as well as many nieces and nephews, relatives and very good friends.

Before retiring in 1998, she worked alongside her husband at New Rainbow Pizza House in Webster for 17 years. She was a lifetime member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church in Webster and an active member of the Philoptochos Society. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and baking and devoted her entire life to her family.

Calling hours will be Friday, December 16, 2011, from 5-8pm at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, 35 Lake Parkway, Webster with a Trisagion service at 7pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 17 at 11am at Sts. Constantine and Helen Church followed by burial at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Webster. Memorial contributions in Bessie's name may be made to Sts. Constantine and Helen Church, PO Box 713, Webster, MA 01570. Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to the Graham, Putnam & Mahoney Funeral Parlors.
